{⚜}- “Is it really that obvious?”

She looked up at the stranger with wide, admiring eyes. Though her sarcasm was evident, she still hoped that he didn’t find her requesting his assistance bothersome. The last thing she needed was to be left out in the unfamiliar forest alone after dark, and the sun had already begun to set.

He gave a small shrug in response. It was merely a guess, seemingly right on target, despite her obvious sarcasm in her answer. With a huff, he turned his back to her and then began seemingly consulting with his buddy who was not far from him.

“–I don’t want to help her.”

“–but she’ll probably die out here.”

                                                                 “–why should I care?”

                                 “–because you’re a good person?”

                                                                        “Try again.”

“–because you won’t get a reward
for helping her if she dies?”

                                                                 “—-..”

Kristoff finally turned back to her and pretended as though she couldn’t hear all that the two discussed. “Alright, fine, I’ll help you. Are you going to the kingdom? Or somewhere else?”

{⚜}-     Belle could hear a voice come from the distant figure, though the chilling wind muffled his reply. The young woman hurried forward to the figure. She furrowed her eyebrows as if searching for stability in the stranger.

Slowly, the features of the mysterious figure fabricated before her. Soft snow was brushed against his pale cheeks and drifted into his eyebrows. His large, tender brown eyes seemed inviting yet surprisingly carefree. Reality and the unbearable cold woke her from her daze.

“ Hey… um, you wouldn’t happen to know the fastest way back to town?”

image

His brows arched slightly to show that he was listening to what she was saying, though an answered to the question came after a couple seconds of silence past by. Town– they were quite a ways away, which caused him to wonder how she got here in the first place.

                                    “–couple miles, maybe?
                                       I haven’t been counting.”

His head tilted as he gazed at her, taking in all that she was; she was clearly beautiful, one would know that by a simple glance, but her beauty didn’t explain what she was doing out here on her own.

“–let me guess, you’re lost. Right?”

Belle didn’t really realize how far she had wandered until the surface below her feet turned slowly from frost bitten land to ice. She glanced around to see unfamiliar land surrounding her. Had she really fallen that hard into her book? An overwhelming feeling of hopelessness consumed her.

“Oh no, not again.”

Now she was sure she had become terribly

                                             l o s t.

But suddenly from the icy mist, immerged a tall figure. A young man.

“Hello?”

image

Snow– snow was everywhere. But with snow came ice. And while the competition for ice harvesting was intense, he was all the more interested in the beauty of the frozen water than making a living. But by just a little. Her voice then brought him out of the mini trance that he had been in.

She was looking at him like
he was her savior. Great, this
meant he’d have to talk to her.

                   “–uhh, who are you?”
